Christmas is one of our favorite times of the year. It can also be incredibly stressful. What in the world do you get for gifts for kids, and parents, who have everything!?

Giving experiences instead of toys for Christmas is a fantastic way to cut down on clutter, give something unique and personalized, and create lasting memories that material gifts just don’t provide.

5 activities to give as gifts

1. The Adventure Challenge

If you saw our Christmas guide part 1 post, this may look a little familiar.

The Adventure Challenge is technically a material gift, BUT The Adventure Challenge Books are filled with different experiences and activities that aren’t your “normal” family game night. You scratch off your adventure and then you have to do it. As the book says, “no take backs!”

Beside your scratch off adventure description, there is a place to stick a photo and write a fun memory from your activity! After you’re done with all of the experiences, you have a unique scrapbook full of fun memories together. The photos from this Fujifilm camera are the perfect size to fit in the dedicated photo space.

There are so many options of the Adventure Challenge Books! Click the links below to see more!

2. cocktail making class

Cocktail (or mocktail) making classes are a fun way to learn something new!

If you live in a smaller town that may not have a restaurant or bar that offers classes, grab the ingredients and do an online class together!

3. Family photo shoot

When is the last time your family took photos together? (I mean with mom in the photos.)

This is a great gift for moms with older kids! It’s rare to get the entire family together, but even more rare to

have photos of these events

(again, with mom in front of the camera).

There are a few ways you can gift a family photo shoot!

• Surprise mom/dad by telling them to get ready for a special event where you meet your photographer

• Tell her the date of your photoshoot as her gift

*If you live in the Montgomery, AL, Mobile/Baldwin Counties, AL or Denver, CO areas- feel free to reach out for photographer recommendations!

4. Private lessons

If the person on your list loves being active, why not help them learn something new? Look into your local YMCA, rec center, or country club for options. Some group and private lessons you could gift are:

  • Golf lessons
  • Tennis lessons
  • Pickleball lessons
  • Dance lessons/classes
  • Art lessons
  • Music lessons

5. Personal Chef for a night

For a unique spin on date night, hiring a personal chef for a night would be a really special gift! I mean… not to mention just the sound of personal chef sounds so luxurious.

Turn it into a really special date night! Curate the menu with the chef, send the kiddos to a babysitter, and use the good plates!

  • I have been surfing online more than 2 hours today, yet I never found any interesting
article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. Personally,
if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the
web will be much more useful than ever before.
